Market Your eBook on Google+

We're continuing our series on eBook marketing in social media. One of the most promising social media platforms on which you can market your eBook is on Google+. Not only does Google+ give you a platform for connecting with like-minded individuals – other writers and your fans, as well as graphics artists, ghostwriters and proofreaders – but Google+ Hangouts provide a wonderful way to connect in real time with readers and fans.

Market Your eBook on Google+

g+To market your eBook on Google+, you’ll need to log in to Google and create your personal Google+ profile. You can either use your personal profile for marketing, or you can create a Google+ page for your eBook or your author persona. Once you’ve created your profile, you can add people to your circles, conducting searches to find people who might be interested in your eBooks as well as to connect with other indie authors.

Host a Hangout on Google+

One of the perceived drawbacks of being a digital publisher rather than a print publisher is the inability to meet with fans. But Google+ Hangouts allow you the ability to connect virtually with your readers, whether you host a chat, a Q&A or simply set a specified hour each month in which you’re available to provide insight and advice. We think Google+ is the most undervalued platform in social media. Every indie author should learn how to market your eBook on Google+.
