Working with Bloggers to Promote Your eBook

One of the best ways to obtain free exposure to promote your ebook is to work with bloggers, to roll out a larger marketing campaign than you otherwise could do on your own. Bloggers often want to participate in events like these because it benefits them to offer giveaways and host events that drive traffic to their site. To be a good blog partner, you should be willing to:
  • Offer each participating blogger a free copy of your ebook for review purposes. Ethical bloggers will not write a review for your ebook without having the opportunity to read it first, so give them a copy. If the ebook is not yet published, give them an advanced copy (using Adobe DRM to protect your copyright).
  • Give each participating blogger the opportunity to offer a copy of your book as a giveaway prize. Not only does this give you more exposure but it also boosts traffic for each of the participating bloggers.
  • Make yourself available for interviews with bloggers.
  • Provide bloggers with images, a media kit and links to your social media.
  • Require bloggers to comply with FTC guidelines that oblige them to disclose that they received the ebook for free.
  • Share links to well-written blog reviews on your website; most bloggers will allow you to share an excerpt as well.
Marketing your book by working with the blog community is a great way to increase your exposure, by working with a group who already has a dedicated audience, writing skills and the willingness to help you achieve better visibility. Image Source: DaSh factor
